Kathy's Story
I grew up in the Boyle Heights area of L.A. on 7th Street near intersection of Soto Street, not too far from Salesian High School. Didn't leave the area until I graduated and my family moved to Whittier, which is where I currently live. I attended Soto Street Elementary, Hollenbeck Junior High and Roosevelt High School. After graduating from RHS, I attended a couple of years at East L.A. College but didn't get my AA because I got a job as a legal secretary before I completed ELAC. I worked two jobs downtown L.A. Then worked for over 30 years for a firm in Whittier. Very convenient., close to home. After the firm closed its doors, I began to work for a single practitioner in Diamond Bar, then he moved his office to his home in Hacienda Heights. In 2021, he moved ...Expand for more
to Texas. I am working with him remotely on an as needed basis, but I consider myself retired (boring!! LOL!!) I married in 1971, had my first child in 11/1972. I have a total of four children (2 boys, 2 girls). No grandchildren per se. My family has dogs. So when asked if I have any grandchildren, I say yes, but they're a bunch of dogs! LOL! I became a widow in 1/2020 and then came the pandemic...lockdown. That was tough, as I'm sure it was for everyone. In 7/2022, I crashed/totaled my 2004 Porsche and couldn't drive for about six months. That was like cutting off my wings so I couldn't fly. I was grounded. BUT, I now have my DL back, a new vehicle but just need places to go. LOL! Loving life with my kids and families. That's my story and I'm sticking to it! LOL!!
