Kathy's Story

As of May 1, 2014: I have 2 kids (30 and 32). Colin is a lawyer in Seattle and Claire is an Elementary School VP in North Delta but changing to South Delta next year (South Park? - wouldn't that be crazy?) I used to be married to Phil George and before that I was Kathy Becker. I'm happy, healthy, and very content with my fairly simple lifestyle. I went to UBC, then College in Grand Rapids, Michigan and got a degree in Business Economics. I worked in the insurance industry for several years and then as a real estate agent in Vancouver for about 12 years while living in Kitsilano. About 5 years I moved to San Francisco in order to get more sunlight. I practiced real estate here for a few years but am now 'sem...Expand for more
i-retired'. I currently have a large (by SF standards) condo in a renovated Victorian. I call myself an Innkeeper because I have 1 full time tenant and 1 room that's used as a Bed & Breakfast (house sharing is really common here) and I love it. I also work/play sometimes as a 'Handyma'am' (fixing things in women's homes), looking after neighbors' babies ( i don't have any grandkids yet), and teaching beginner's poker. I get up to Tsawwassen 3-4 times a year and stay with my mom (dad died about 4 years ago of Alzheimer's) for a week or two. I enjoy visiting but I'm afraid I couldn't live in Vancouver again (SADS). And yes, I'm coming back for the 40-year anniversary May 10! Hope to see a bunch of people there.
