Life The day after Sequoyah's graduation, my family moved from Atlanta to Charlotte, NC, and a few months later I started Harding University in Searcy, Ark., as a French and journalism major. After my 1973 Harding graduation, I worked as a reporter for and then city editor of the Searcy Daily Citizen. Married Don Shores in 1973. M.A. in journalism at Murray (Ky.) State University in 1977. Copy editor of Journal of Nutrition, an international peer-reviewed monthly, at University of Florida while Don got Ph.D. Three children born in '78, '81 and '83. I worked as copy editor for five business-to-business magazines at Intertec Publishing '98-'01. I've taught as an adjunct professor of journalism, public relations, and public speaking at Pepperdine University, Malibu, Calif., 1982-present.
