Kathy's Story
Life
I'm married with four beautiful kids, two of which are older now than when I likely saw you last! My family has two dogs, a cat, and two white ring neck doves, and a chinchilla- just to name a few... These are all that remain from a longer list. My eldest daughter decided five years ago that she wanted to be a vet. She's now in her last year of college as a Psych major! I try and be thankful she never had an interest in mortuary science...
I've been a stay at home mom up until a year and a half ago, when I started back part time in college (yeah,pretty frightening!). I have to say, it's much more interesting the secon...Expand for more
d time around. I also started working part time as an assistant in a school for survivors of traumatic brain injury (car or motorcycle accidents mainly). I think this has been the best lesson in appreciation I've even been exposed to. I work with quite a few people who have to expend more energy to just get out of bed in the morning, than we might to walk up three flights of stairs. The thing is, many are just so grateful to be alive after what they've been through, they appreciate living more- so in the long run- they teach me much more than I could ever teach them.
