Kathy's Story
Life
I have been reflecting on the times I have enjoyed the most in my life and ended up remembering the carefree days at Harbor Lights Jr High. It is funny how it often takes time for us to appreciate things. Remeber the year we drove poor Mr Sutton crazy untill he left after just one year?
In thinking of my life I have warm memories of those days in Bandon before and the tragic move when my dad took a job and my parents took us away from those easy days and then we moved every year after that while I was in Highschool. I graduated from Central Point as one of the shyest kids in school
(not like the Kathy that was growing up in a small town with all of you). After
Highschool I met alot of people thanks to Emmy King and Deb Carrigan and had some fun years in the Medford Area. There were lots of running around and working at the Wash n Well before I went to work at US Bank and eventually
transfered to Portland with USNB where I worked...Expand for more
for 13yrs before Marrying what
at the time was my best friend. He became High School Principal in Springfield
and I was his cheerleader and help mate while parenting 12 Foster children and teaching with Head Start untill we celebrated my turning 40 by adopting 3 children all at one time (10months, 3yr & 4 yr). Life really changed, I thought I was busy before. We had a good life and I really enjoyed being active in Springfield schools and social services. Our children are now 15, 19 & 20 and I have been single for 3 years now. Life does throw us curves along the road of life and instead of retiring I am looking at going back to work teaching after alot of years not working outside the home. I feel younger now than I have in years amd even though there are pitfalls to starting over in your 50's I think I am getting to relive those years so that means I am 30 and single. I'de love to hear from some of you and see where life has taken you.
