Life US Army veteran (1975-77). Dept of Army civil service (1977-1981). South Carolina Governor's Office Division of Public Safety (1982-1984). Co-founder of the Governor's Christmas Choral under Governor Dick Riley. South Carolina Sentencing Guidelines Commission staff member under Governor's Office (1984-1986). South Carolina Probation (1986-1989), Public Service Program. Moved back to NY in 1989. Accountant at CPA firm in Middletown, Managing Director of Periwinkle National Theatre (non-profit touring theatrical company. Owner of AAA Books and Tax (1990-2009), a tax and accounting practice in Bloomingburg and Montgomery. Former owner of New To You Consignment Boutique in Montgomery. Executive Director of Gowns To Girls Program (non-profit 501(c)(3). Internationally-recognized line dance instructor/choreographer (21 years) under the name of Kathy Sharpe. Founder and Director of Honky Tonk Stompers (Country Dance Team) for nine years. Married to Laurence Arrant in 2000 and lived in Bloomingburg, NY until July 2009 when we moved to Texas. Worked as Assistant Store Manager (salaried) for Sears Holdings, accountant with CPA firm in Abilene. Have two children (Angela-25) and Leland-16) both attended Pine Bush High School. at Bilmes & Bilmes, Esq. in Pine Bush to Admin Assistant in North Bergen, NJ. 1975-1982--US Army communications specialist to civil service supervisor at USACC Detachment in Fort Jackson, SC. 1983-1985--Went to work for South Carolina Governor's Office Division of Public Safety and became staff member of the South Carolina Sentencing Guidelines Commisson. 1985-1988--Became Probation Agent with South Carolina Dept of Probation and Parole. 1988-1991--Moved back to NY and went to work as staff accountant at Levitan & Yegidis in Middletown. 1992-1995--Went to work as Managing Director of Periwinkle National Theatre in Monticello and left to put time into my own tax practice, AAA Books & Tax in Bloomingburg in 1996. Bought New To You Consignment Boutique in Montgomery in 1999 and moved accounting practice to Montgomery. 2000--Founded and direct non-profit 501 (c)(3) organizaton, Gowns to Girls, which provides prom gowns and dresses to girls in need through 10 local area schools. 2001--Became involved with Primerica and obtained NYS Life & Health Insurance licenses, mortgage broker's license and securities license (Series 6 & 63). 2005--Became real estate agent and am presently working with Prudential Rand in Middletown. Still have consignment shop, accounting practice and have been teaching country line dance, swing and two-step for 14 years.
