Kathy's Story

Life Hi to all, These profiles are always a challenge - where have I been, what have I done, and with whom in the last 20 years??? well, I married David Campbell in 1987, lived in New York for a couple of years, came back to Toronto, bought a house and had 2 adorable sons, now aged 12 and 9. I sang in COC chorus for a long time, between diaper changes, and eventually kissed the merry band good bye when my soloist aspirations conflicted with their schedule. I dusted off my party pieces and resume, and have revived my concert career in the last 3 years, singing lots of Bach, Mozart,Handel.I have a few voice students. In addition, I have become an adjudicator at music festivals, and absolutely LOVE being the one at the table with ...Expand for more
a pencil!!! This season, I'll be in Pickering, Peterborough, Belleville and Edmonton. I also started a workshop for emerging singers, all about their stage presentation, called Diva Development/Diva's Eye on the Singing Guy. (they won't let me give the website address - write and ask me!)I hope to expand this new venture in the oncoming years of senility.... Meanwhile, there is laundry, soccer, lunches to make, auditions to arrange and scores to learn. David is a wonderful father to our brainiac sons, and is an AVP at Manulife, and a baritone at St.James Cathedral, where both boys are choirboys...father's footsteps and all that! It would be great to hear from you, so drop me a line when the spirit moves you. Cheers, Kathy
