Kathy's Story
Life
I have been back in Maryland for almost 6 years (moved to Western Shore from Raleigh, NC). My son is now 19 and in his sophomore year at college - Pennsylvania College of Technology - an affiliate of Penn State. He remains our pride and joy! I am still a student - continuing with my PhD work at George Mason University (seems like I will never finish - but have now completed all course work and comp exams) - now an official PhD candidate working on my dissertation related to diabetes- provider communication and diabetes self- management of the medically underserved. cky enough to take the summer off and spend time with my family, hit the beach, travel and do some writing. Time now to go back to work where I actually get a pay check! My husband Dennis and I have been married for 26 years and he is still the love of my life. We are planning to return to the shore for retirement - possibly somewhere in Delaware. I miss being on the Eastern Shore! My life has been blessed. I often think of friends from high school and wonder what became of them. There were some great people in the NCHS class of 1972.
