Kathy's Story

I have been through a lot since high school. I got married and moved to California. (Concord) My husband worked for the Oakland Naval Supply Station as a civial worker and I worked as a Certified Nursing aide and worked for different agencies. Sometimes I did live in jobs, and other times just hourly. My husband had to take a buy out from the Supply Station in 95 and my mom was getting worse at home. My dad was to where he couldn't handle her alone and asked if I would move back. We moved to Clovis, N.M. and I helped out with my mom for as long I could. I finally had to have a left temoral lobectomy done for my epilepsy. My seizures got so bad. I was seizure free for 3 months and came back because they were not able to get it all because I seized on the table. Since then, My mom that had Parkinsons, has passed in 2005. I have been thru lots more surgery. Scoliosis back surgery and also going thru an eating disorder unit for anorexia. Also, trying to beat Kidney Stones. I have a new problem. I hope this will keep your curiosity satistified I walk fast. Have everyone leave me alone and don't pay attention to anyone else until it has blow over. Sit down alone and have cup of coffee. If I'm going to work somewhere, I need to have my purse, keys, and car to be able to deal with the day-to-day. & A. I like to crochet when I have free time to do it and it is cold weather. I am cleaning my carpet right now and keeping busy that way. Going through what is needed and not needed. Fun!! I do listen to the radio for entertainment or watch T.V for like I put Crime or Thriller movies, Medical shows, just good shows in general that catch my eye. I walk the mall with my God mother and her friend that is a diabetic for good health. I am kind of their inspiration to keep going there. Walk it at least 5 times. Some times go for a coffee afterwards. That is also an escape from the house for me. I like to read books at times depending on the kind of book. It has to be moving for me to read it. Usually a medical or Crime book. Different Authors. I like to serf the web to see what is going on in the world and what I might be missing out on and what I can learn. Lots you can learn on the Web. I regret that I never got to go back to Nursing school. Bummer. I survived though. Music...I like country, soft music, no hard rock and roll or metal. I can take jazz. some classical but not much. My husband loves classical and plays it all the time!! To drive me up the wall!! I could not have children so I decided to have cats instead. lol They don't have to have schooling or buy clothes for them. But, when I go to Johns Hopkins I have to have someone to look after them. I will be going back to Hopkins in May of 2010.
