Kathy's Story
My life after high school and college...
Along my way I have lived in North Carolina, Ohio and Connecticut.
I was in health care for many years, mostly in Admitting Management at a large teaching hospital. However, for the past 12 years I have worked part time or have not worked. I enjoy volunteering regularly. I have spent time helping homeless adults as well as teens in all kinds of trouble.
My husband is a University professor in Maine. Marcie Lightcap (also SHS) introduced us in North Carolina in 1972. I think that's the right year. We share our home with a Maine Coon cat - he is pretty much in charge of the household! Anyone who can endure the winters in Maine earns the beautiful spring, summer and fall. Too bad though, we have a really short gardening season.
I have been able to see a little bit of the world but I am always happy to return to Northern New England. We get up and down the east coast several times each year to visit friends and family.

e follow the ACC and Southern Conference college football and basketball, also UConn women's and men's basketball. We have connections to UConn's business school, Appalachian State University's business school, Duke and UNC. Oh, and UMaine hockey...
I like to wander in and out of antique stores. Maine has been called New England's attic.
We have a tendency to visit airshows, it's fun to see anything that flies, new or old. Landmarks, national parks, anything historical gets our attention.
We attend our local symphony concerts as often as possible. You'll find us going to see the Moody Blues, Neil Diamond or Mary Chapin Carpenter as well. Now that's variety! We are out to dinner with friends too often...where is my kitchen?
What I like more than anything is getting in the car, driving to the Maine coast (not too much here resembles the Jersey "shore"), getting out on the water or walking or just sitting a while to take it all in!
Somewhat boring all in all.
