Kathy's Story
I left Clatskanie shortly after graduation and moved to Portland, Oregon where I attended the Ron Bailey School of Broadcasting. From there it was off to Wichita Falls, Texas, then to Roy, Washington for a few years. From there it was back to Oregon where I've lived since 1985 in the upper Willamette Valley area. , became an award winning songwriter/entertainer, and have had the blessing of seeing a fair bit of our beautiful country with my husband, best friend and music partner. We now own a beautiful historic home in Salem, Oregon where we still make and teach music. We have a herd of grandchildren close by. I am now a full time creative, which is the best occupation in the world (next to being a Nana).
