Kathy's Story

Can you believe it-Its been 34 years. Geeze ,were in our 50's.Where has the times gone. You create them-its called Memories.hopefully I can continue to make them.I'm getting more healthy as the days past. I am a Walker.I do marathons and daily miles. Enough miles I could have walked to New Jersey. I always wanted to be a Nurse when I grew up.My family and friends thought that was a passing thought. As it turns out were surprised I did as well as I did. By the way, I became a Nurse. A RN. A Pediatric RN. Keeps me young. I used to be a traveling Nurse. Lived in 3 states and then came back to Texas. Now I am advancing my knowledge about Real Estate. As bad as it is,I found the silver lining.Getting healthy in more than just in my body. My synapses are firing more repetitively.I hope all of you are doing well too. I have worked hard and played hard. I have traveled in 32 states and up to 10 countries. you never know what you miss from the US until you leave it. And I now have the ability to say a few words in about 4 languages. I have learned to listen as much as I talk. But, I am thinking of writing a book -you won't believe some of things I have seen and done. All since I left Brazoswood. But I have fond memories from there. Its worth a Page or two. To give you a line from my upcoming book- Have you ever had the opportunity to experience a 18 month old child with 1st diagnoses-Asthma, 2nd Diagnose-"Evaluation of Telekinesis" (that's the ability to move things with your mind) Yes I saw it in action. ( these more ,but you will have to buy the book.) Well ,here is a tidbit of my life. I can talk you ear off, or listen to yours. We all have walked in different shoes.I keep a level head on my shoulders because I keep abreast of things around me that I give back as much as I would ever receive. This is where I release the stress of my life-when I Giv...Expand for more
e Back. Take care All-Don't forget to stop and smell the flowers along the way!! I always wanted to be a Nurse when I grew up. My family and friends thought that was a Nurse idea. As it turns out, they were right.. I have a dog-not just any dog- it's a transplant from New Jersey. The past two dogs came from Brothers. So I have had a dachshund from bother of them for past 27 years. one past after 13 years, Current one is 14 years (yes ,dogs get white hair too). Pets add so much to a family. I can stay sane by keeping my mind busy, so I can feed the energy to off time. Everything I have experienced make the person I have become. They say your childhood come out in every aspect of your life. I remember a Teacher I had in 4th grade-Mrs.Finney. She instilled in me to try my best and listen to my heart to drive me.I would love to see her again along with others from all my times in schools in Lake Jackson. You never leave the hometown feelings no matter where you go. If I won a million dollars, I'd give back to my church,Family and close friends. Of course I would change the way I live and drive. And I might even retire. My current age is 52. I am getting more healthy as the days pass. When I was 12, I thought that people my age now would be dead or an-chant. I was so completely wrong. In 10 years, I hope to live a comfortable lifestyle.I am going to get there by some of things I am involved with now.I think as I get older, I think of the click of friends I had in High School. We all had similar interests. I would shock them if they saw me today. I have come along way baby.I will never forget Lake Jackson and the funny names downtown like -This way,and That way. And there's more. its the people and the atmosphere there for a great place to grow up in. But it gave me the wings to fly away to my life. Thank you for giving me the start. All take care.
