Life I am living in New Mexico again and I have two wonderful daughters. I bought a house. We are all healthy and happy. I am still in touch with several friends from high school, but would love to chat with anyone interested - just drop me a line. (Story updated 08/14) School I truly enjoyed learning but I hated school. I was not popular, had very few friends and wasn't involved in any extracurricular activities. I felt I was well outside of the mentality of my fellow students due to my....let's say "advanced upbringing" and I had a difficult time relating to my "seemingly oblivious" classmates. (Not their fault, of course!) I was envious of their (my own small-minded perception) carefree lives. One always thinks they are the only one in a bad situation until much later when they learn that everyone has difficult challenges at that age. I had several classmates ask why I wore my make-up so dark sometimes but not all the time..my answer was that it reflected my mood and many days I felt dark inside...oh those hormones! Once toward the end of my Junior year, I skipped every class Monday thru Thursday one week and went back for my homework on Friday. I hadn't missed a single thing in any class - there was NO homework! I went home that day and informed my mother that I was taking my GED and not wasting anymore time.
