Joseph's Story

Life jwharrisjr at that google mail thing dot com.I can't believe I've been out of school for so long! It only seems like yesterday. Where to start??? I got out of school in 1988 and immediately joined the U.S. Navy. I enlisted for four years at 17 years old. Went to Desert Storm for seven months. Got out and moved to Baton Rouge and joined the Livingston Sheriffs Office. Did that for about a year and a half and went to work at Dodge city selling cars. Hated it. Moved to Florida and got into some things I shouldn't have and called up the Marine Corps recruiter and was gone to ANOTHER boot camp in December of 1994. Went to Operation Iraqi Freedom I and II as a field radio operator (you know, the guy that carries the radio and get's shot...Expand for more
at first). Went to sniper school before that and was used in that capacity many times. Well, after all was said and done, I spent 14 years of my very interesting life in the military and just recently called it quits. I felt that if I went to Iraq for the fourth time, my card would be called. I'm now a military analyst for a government contracted firm. I'm married with a fourteen year old daughter in high school and believe me when I say I'd rather be in combat than having to deal with teenage high school drama!! If anybody remembers me, please feel free to shoot me a line. Joe(Joey) Workplace Update......now working as a Field Support Engineer with the same company. Tapestry Solutions. Now I work in Iraq and live in San Diego.
