Jerry's Story
Life
I went to boot camp as a reservist in 1955, and started active duty in 1956. After ITR, I was stationed at Courthouse Bay, in the Engineer School Batallion, in North Carolina. My best friends were Bill Svenkesen, Larry Hough and Frank Duncan. I did liberty in Wilmington, and was on the board at the USO. I started college at Brigham Young Unive...Expand for more
rsity in 1959, and starved out after two quarters. I finally completed my Bachelor's degree at Cal State LA in 1967. I worked for the Los Angeles County Probation Dept. for 31 years, retiring in 1999. My wife is a school teacher, and we have seven children and 19 grandchildren. I love to fish, and am willing to share my hobby with old acquaintances.
