Kathy's Story
Okay, I've been asked several times to write about my life since high school, so I'll give it a go. I joined the Air Force out of community college in 1973. It was a great experience and taught me a great deal about the world we live in. I met my husband, Doug, while in the Air Force at Norton AFB. I was pretty independent when I met him and not looking to get married. But the angels were looking out for me and I fell in love with the man who would change my life! yaking and getting to spend time with our grand-children. Unfortunately we don't get to spend as much time with our grand-children as we would like because none of them live in the United States right now! Wow, now I know how my parents felt!! My son and his family live in Brazil where he teaches English. My oldest daughter is in the AF and is stationed in Germany with our oldest grand-daughter. And our youngest daughter and our twin grand-babies also live in Germany where her husband is stationed...though he is in Iraq right now. Our oldest daughter just got back from Iraq and our prayers were answered that she return safely. Well, that is the best I can do summing up the last 40 years. Like everyone I've had highs and lows, but I wouldn't change a thing. I can hardly wait to see what the next 40 years will bring as I'm always ready for an adventure!
