Kathy's Story
Life
I am still going strong. I work for the Frankston Post Office as a Rural Carrier and I love it. I lost my husband of 13 years in April of 1999 from Diabetes and kidney failure. Then in May 2001 I lost my Mom from Breast Cancer. A hard couple of years but they say what don't kill you will make you stronger. I survived and Thank God for everyday that I wake up. I have a 11 year old white chihuahua named Taz and he and I just chill out at home. I have since aquired another dog in February 2005 and estimated that her date of birth was somewhere around the 10th of January and this one was found on Sugar Mountain just out of Frankston. Don't know what kind of dog she is, other than a real sweet one. When I rescued her she was quite ill and weighed 6lbs and I'm betting now that she is atleast 30 lbs. Her name is Sugar because I found her on Sugar Mountain and those whom are from here know where that is. Her and Taz DO NOT get along at all. I live in Frankston (actually Berryville). Other than that things are hunkie dorie! UPDATE I have a new grand baby. His name is Antonio Richard Macias and he was born to my Daughter, Dixi...Expand for more
e, May 6, 2005 in Oklahoma. He weighed 6 lbs. 10.5 ozs. and was 19.5 inches long. I have only seen pictures but as a Grandma for the 3rd time, I can say that he is just precious. Lord a mercy, my grandson is now 2 years old, my how time flies. I didn't mention my Dad, Square, he is 77 and doing just fine. I talk to him almost every day and he and I go to church in Tecula, that is outside Jacksonville towards Troup. Uncle Benny Walker preaches there and we have been going there for many, many years. Uncle Benny is 86 i think and still works. Yep, he works at a dairy. He is still going strong. Guess it is the Walker genes that keeps them young at heart and in spirit. Anyway, just wanted to update this on this the 10th of October 2007. Keep watching for other updates. God Bless you all.
UPDATE: I have moved and bought a house. It is on highway 175 and I love it. Still with the Post Office, but have had back trouble and had shots two different times. Am doing better but now have to watch what I do and be more careful, and that part, I am not too thrilled with. But guess that I will get use to it. That is all for now.
