Kathy's Story
Hello Class of '65!!
This time around has been a life FULL, that's for sure. Many laughs, many heart aches, much joy, many loves, many lessons (all good)------a journey that took some wide bends in the road, with detours and side paths well explored along the way. And now that I am in the warm "afternoon" of this life, I look forward to reconnecting with old friends and sharing our life stories.
My post graduation story took me to the shores and sands of Southern California where I was married to an air traffic controller for 6 years of crazy-making. Then back to Tucson for some R & R, where I met my second husband, Randy Retrum (class of 64). We grew through 16 great years of marriage in Flagstaff and Prescott, where we raised a son and daughter.
Life was good there in Prescott. But adventure "called" and we relocated to the San Juan Mountains of Colorado where we owned an incredibly beautiful campground. During those years, our relations...Expand for more
hip began to change and evolve into a different space,and eventually our marriage ended.
I spent a few years spiraling around the desolate/desparate/lonely world of Las Vegas. When I woke up and finally got my head together, I began to reconnect with who I really am. I discovered the mountains, lakes and country around Reno/Tahoe to be my new frontier. For the past 15 years Reno has been my home. Lots of personal growth here. Miles and miles of hiking and photography. Many warm and rich friendships.
In Dec.'06, I finally connected with my true spiritual partner. And the following Aug 9,'07, we celebrated our marriage with our combined 6 grandchildren as our attendants.
Andy and I own a transport/delivery business that takes us all over the West. We truly have fun with our work. We are also involved in various self-evolvement and spiritual growth groups. Most recently we began Holosync meditation. Great Stuff!
