Kathy's Story
After high school I went to work full time as a cashier at a cab company where my mom worked (God rest her soul!).
I got married in 1983 and divorced in 1986...just long enough to have two kids! They were the best part of that period of my life, for sure! Patti is almost 22 and lives in Southern California with her boyfriend and is studying art (I have NO IDEA where she got those genes) and my son is almost 21 (and 6'8"!) and he and his girlfriend live with us temporarily (right, I've heard that before!)
I got married again in 1990 and in 1995 moved to Sacramento, California where I currently live. That was the best move of my life. I got divorced again in 2003.
Finally, I met the man for me (3rd times a charm, right?) and we got married in 2006 on Anini Beach in Kauai. Our lives are ...Expand for more
very busy but we do find time for our dogs which have somehow turned them into our kids. We have two lab mixes and two ex-racing greyhounds. We spend a great deal of time outdoors enjoying the wonderful California climate. We travel whenever we can and love spending time with our friends.
I am a commercial property manager, not something I planned (like most property managers) but am enjoying. My husband is a high school math teacher at an inner city school and also teaches physical training at the JC level, a great use of his Masters in Kinesiology. He used to coach football at Sacramento State University until the whole staff got fired in 2002. He talks like he's giving up coaching but I say, no way, it's in his blood!
