Kathy's Story
Life
Right after high school I worked for Cal-Farm Insurance
and had my own apartment. Then in 1984 I met Clay Van Meter, he was a navagational student at Mather Air Force Base. He is from Ohio and had graduated from Miami University, Oxford Ohio in 1983. We were married in November 1985 in Fort Worth, Texas were he was a 1st Lt
in the Air Force flying B-52. I was working also and active in Officer Wives Clubs. In 1989 we moved to Abilene, Texas for a year then on to Wichita, Kansas.
Clay was now a navagator on B-1 and also a Captain in the Air Force. In 1991 we had a daughter Samantha Nicole
in Wichita, Kansas. I was now a stay at home Mom, Just the best job in the world. In 1992 we moved again to Rapid City, South Dakota and that is where Kyle Henry was born in 1994. In 1995 Clay decided to get out of the
Air Force. Clay was hired on with Boeing as a Manager on
the software upgrade program for the B-1. We moved to Oklahoma City and...Expand for more
we have been here for 12 years.
Samantha is now 16 and a junior in high school she works
at AMC Theathers and also in the Culinary Program at the local Vo-Tech. Kyle is 13 and in 8th Grade besides bugging his sister he is very into Boy Scouts he is a life scout only one rank away from Eagel. I am so very
proud of my kids. I am still a stay at home Mom and Wife
I love to cook and travel. We have seen a lot of the United States while in the Air Force and out. Living in Oklahoma in nice because it is in the middle of the US
that means just 18 hours to the West or East Coasts. Sacramento will always be home, My brother Keith and his family live in Roseville my parents have moved to Colorado, so they are only 12 hours away and Clays family is in Ohio and Florida. We visit California at least once a year at the end of May, we all look forward to that vacation very much. I would love to hear from
