Kathy's Story
Hello,
This is Kathryn (Kathy Nichols) Summer. I live in Ft. Lauderdale, Fl. I have lived here since 1990 (19 years) and have been single for all those years. The right person has not come along... yet...and besides, I have been very busy working and involved with the community and my children and grandchildren, that don't live in Ft. Lauderdale.
I have my own full service real estate company, Summer Realty Mortgage Services, Inc.. I am a Real Estate Broker, Mortgage Broker, Community Association Manager, Certified Appraiser, Certified Meeting Planner and more. I also am a Community Family Service Councelor and Pre-need Advisor for SCI - Dignity Memorial - the largest Funerl/Cremation and Cemetery Providers in the USA and Canada. I help families preplan their funeral needs and arrangements before death, help families before, during, and after their time of need. I am very involved in the community and with the State of Florida. I also have been a Chef on privately owned major Yachts ranging from 85ft to 110 ft, specializing in diabetic care and cuisine. I've traveled all over the Eastern Seaboard and the Carribean as a Chef. I have great stories to share someday...
I was married to Lanky (Lloyd Langston Summer III) right out of high school and had 3 children with him. My 1st son is Lloyd Langston Summer IV. He lives with his wife, Leslie Stewart Summer, in Atlanta, Ga.and they have an adopted daughter Maggie (Margaret) Stewart Summer. My 2nd child is Mary Kathryn Summer. She lives on St. George Island, Fl. in the panhandle area of Fl., and has a daughter, Tylyn Summer Gillikin - and my 3rd child, George Barron Summer, lives in New York, New York. George has a son, however his ex-wife is from another country and lives out of the USA. We do not get to see George's son very much, which is very sad for us all.

in, Fl. with my three children and lived in Sandestin Beach Resort where I was a Real Estate agent for 9 years.
I meet a gentleman in 1988 at Sandestin Beach Resort who was a V.P. of Sherton Hotels and Resorts. We became engaged and were married. His job position changed and it required him to moved to Palm Springs, California and to Denver and Steamboat Springs, Colorado. I made the move with him and my children went to live with Lanky in Rome, Ga. I would fly back and forth from California and Colorado to Rome, Ga., every two or three weeks to be with my children for a week or longer stay in Rome. That was very difficut times for me, and not much fun for my children, or my second husband!
My second husband's job position changed again, and he was hired to financially, turn the hotel, Pier 66 around, in Ft. Lauderdale, Fl.. We moved again and after 1 1/2 years of marriage, we decided to end it. I stayed in Ft. Lauderdale, he moved to Texas and I have been in Ft. Lauderdale, Fl. ever since then, for the last 19 years, which surprises me GREATLY!!!
I have super great friends and we are on the go constantly. I work hard and try to relax and play even harder! We all are especially active with community functions. I love the ocean, scuba diving, deep sea fishing - love golf - and I love flying, which I am trying to learn to do and get my licsense one day. I try to do as much as I can with everything. Florida is fun and you cannot beat the beautiful weather and food! There is so much going on all the time and so many places to go to...the Keys for one is a favorite for me!
