Kathy's Story
You'll see on here that I went to 3 different high schools. (9th grade was jr. high in CO). So I didn't spend a lot of time in any one school.
I got my BSN from CSULA and worked in a local hospital for a couple of years and then moved in to home health care which I really loved because you can spend time with the patients and really do some teaching. I worked in home health off and on for over 25 years as a field nurse, nursing sup. and QI analyst.
Then I pursued my real love of writing. I was the Guide to Nursing at About.com for 3 years until they merged nursing into a health careers site.
At that point I moved my content to my own website and started my own blog. (TheNursingSite.com and TheNursingSiteBlog.com)

I married fellow TCHS classmate, Tim Quan, in 1978 and we have 3 great kids. Amy will be 30 in Oct. Rob turns 26 in Aug. and Becky is 24. Nobody's married yet and no grandkids.....hopefully someday before we get too old to enjoy them.
Tim is an EE and works for an electronics distributor as a technical solutions manager. We left Temple City 21 years ago and live in Thousand Oaks.
