Kathy's Story
I came to Midway in the third grade and was at North Davidson until Feb. of my sophomore year. My father was a Methodist minister and the church he ministered built a house in Trinity for us to live in, so we had to move. I went to Trinity High School for two weeks, crying every day, so my parents let me come back to North and finish my sophomore year with the understanding I would begin again at Trinity the beginning of my junior year. junior year, made friends there and was happy. Then, my father was transferred again which meant I would have to attend another new school (Randleman) my senior year. I begged and pleaded to come back to North and my parents agreed , which made me SO HAPPY!!! I got to come back and finish at North! YEA! Go Black Knights! I went to work at Piedmont Airlines in 1979 and worked there for twenty-three years. I have three children, am married, and currently work for the Winston Salem Police Department.
