Kathy's Story
Life
I obtained my master's at Georgia State in 82 and began working, but then also began my career as a mother. I had daughters in 1984 and 1987, and a son in 1994 after being married 15 years. I hold a professional counselor's license, and Paul and I run a private practice from a small office near our home in the Madison, AL area. We married in 78. After graduating from high school, I went 4 years to college at Mid-America in Olathe. I studied art/ literature and religious education. During my senior year I met and dated the man I married the following summer, Paul Rainwater. He graduated from Nazarene Theological Seminary a year later, and we moved to Atlanta to continue edu...Expand for more
cational goals. Paul and I both took a master's degree program in counseling from Georgia State, augmented with classes from Psychological Studies Institute to integrate Christian principles. We attend church at Calvary Assembly of God and are active in programs, particularly choirs and drama activities. The girls have won awards. My first grandchild arrived May 2005 - a girl- Maggie Kay. My parents are alive and well, they live in the same house in Overland Park. My brother Greg lives in Colorado and is a real estate agent. My brother Paul passed away in 1982.
