Katie's Story
Life
Everyone who knew me, knew that I never stayed in one place for long! I joined the Navy in 1996 after HS. Married in 1998 to Michael Wood of Syracuse, New York. We had our first child...Logan, October 3, 2003. I have been stationed in Maryland, Guam, and I am on my third tour in the Washington, DC area. We recently had our second son Lucas on May 30, 2008. I would love to hear from y'all!
College
I finished my Associates back in 2007 -now if I can just find the motivation to start my Bachelors - I know, excuses right :)
Military
I joined the Navy in October 1996 - a few months after graduating highschool. My first duty station was at ...Expand for more
VQ-4, in Patuxent River Maryland. I came in undesignated (jobless basically) and struck for my job that I currently am now - a Yeoman (admin job- I dont do dirty). I did four years there before trasferring to Guam for four years at U.S. Naval Forces Marianas Support Activity. This was Flag duty - where I worked with the Admin for the Admiral as well as the command. I then transfered to Washington, DC where I worked at the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA). This was my first Joint Duty command--which I hated in case you were wondering. I am currently an E7 and assigned to the Pentagon under the Chief of Naval Operations in the Washington, DC.
