More about Katie: "I have the heart and soul of a writer, a musician, a dancer, an artist. I am a mother, daughter, sister, wife, aunt, niece, Godmother, friend and widow. I feel deeply, give freely, love completely...I fall fast & hard & deep & forever. Having children saved my life...losing a child nearly killed me, but made me stronger in the end...made me hold the children I do have that much closer, appreciate their uniqueness that much more. Losing my father broke my heart, but brought me closer to my mother & sister. Losing my husband of 21 & 1/2 years devastated me, but has shown me a strength I never knew- or at least forgot- I have in me. I value my friends more with every passing year. They are now more like sisters to me... they have literally grown up along side of me. They have seen me through the lowest and highest points in my life- and I them. I have even had given back to me friends whom I thought were to be nothing more than sweet memories thanks to the miracle of the internet & Facebook! :o)".
