Life After high school, I lived in Saratoga for a year before moving to Charleston, South Carolina. Lived in South Carolina for 3 years, then returned to California. I married Michael Barry ('86) in 1992 and we bought our first house in February 1993. We lived in Riverbank (next to Modesto) for 10 years. In 2002 we purchased 5 acres (which is not enough in my opinion) in Valley Springs, designed and built our house. I LOVE living in the country and a close community! It reminds me of the way San Ramon was when I grew up. Who would have thought that I would be a country girl?? I love playing in the dirt on my '52 Ford 8N tractor! I think I missed my calling all these years... instead of being in retail, the restaurant & mortgage business I think I would have loved being a heavy equipment operator! We have two beautiful children, Rachel, 10 and Ryan, 8. Three dogs, 2 cats and 1 chicken (no livestock). Being a parent has really changed me. I have actually relaxed a bit. I continue to learn new things everyday... especially about myself!!! It's really scary to see yourself in your child and worse... see your mother in you! Even though times are sometimes tough, I am very prod of both of them! I look forward to many years ahead... especially when they become parents themselves and see everything t...Expand for more
