Katie's Story
Life
Hi all! Here's a quick recap: Graduated from Illinois in 1996. Got married after graduation (way too young - sheesh) and divorced shortly after. Spent some time trying out different lives and careers. Married a wonderful man. Working at a great job. We travel as much as we can. Finished my masters and went to Key West to celebrate. Just got back from Daytona - I married into a racing family, so a lot of traveling revolves around Nascar races. Also spent some time in Las Vegas and Austin this year. Workplace
After college, I worked in marketing and training for a few different companies, including Paul Harris and Solo Cup. I started working in human resources in 2000 and recently completed a masters degree. I love my current job at the University of Illinois. I specialize in human resources policy/compliance and spend a lot of time reading new legislation. Working on a law degree or phd may be in my future.
