Katosha's Story

Where to begin? I live in Phoenix with my husband and two daughters (Ellisia and Gabriella). They are 6 and 4 and keep us very busy and on our toes. My husband, Errol, is an engineer and I am currently a policy advisor to Governor Jan Brewer. After I graduated from OCU, I moved to Minnesota for five years. I worked in TV News for awhile, then transitioned to public relations and ended up in politics from there. I left shortly after Jesse Ventura became governor and moved to Colorado where I met my soon to be husband. He moved to Arizona. I applied to law school at Arizona State and we married in the summer of 2001, after my first year. After I graduated, I clerked for the Chief Judge of the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals and had our first baby. 12 weeks later, I went back to work full time for a large Phoenix law firm. ractice focused on government regulation, infrastructure and resource development. During this time, we also had our second baby. In February of 2009, Governor Brewer invited me to join her staff and given all that is happening in government right now, I could not resist the opportunity. My parents still live in Oklahoma and visit us at least once or twice a year. I don't make it back often but am looking forward to going home for Christmas this year--especially since the girls have not seen their great-grandmother in more than 3 years!! They all live in Boswell so I rarely get to Broken Bow. But the last time I was there I could not believe how much it had changed. Hope you are yours are doing well. Look forward to hearing from you and hopefully there will be a 20 year reunion coming up. 20 years!!! That's disturbing. :)
