Katrina's Story
After graduating all I wanted was to go home. I had never been in away from Newark, NJ and I always felt that I was in Augsburg against my will because my Mom got married and dragged me off to Germany where I knew no one and never was exposed to the military way of life. I had grown up in NJ and went to public school there I felt like why couldnt I graduate with the people I grew up with? It was so hard for me to make friends at AHS because at that time I felt like no one could relate to me and I couldnt relate to them. get about Angie (cant remember last name) and Joey Ridgeway (they were a couple then) and I feel like I owe them because they taught me to be open-minded no matter how tough life seems, they also taught me to how to make the best of a bad situation and how to make friends with long lasting memories. I did make it back home in Jan 1988 as a changed person. I do appreciate Augsburg for that. I am no longer afraid to try new thing THANK YOU AHS.I now reside in Charlotte NC with my 3 children, ages 19, 11, 6.
