ion in International Business and I'm considering going back for another graduate degree in Communications. Workplace After being in the military, I came back home to San Antonio and worked at Southern Music Co. It was not the first time I had worked there, and not too much had really changed. I did however meet my husband, Jake, while working there the second time around. I then went to work at USAA for 7 years. I worked then for JPMorgan Chase for over 2 years and then WaMu for one year. I then moved to Advisors Asset Management in Boerne TX as an Internal Sales Consultant for a year. Now I am with BBVA Compass Investment Solutions. I have had the good fortune of working with and for some great people and I really enjoy helping clients. Becoming licensed to sell financial products was a goal that I was able to meet and I continue to enjoy my career. Military When I began my short-lived military career, I was older than most of the other recruits. It was very stressful and I really felt at times like "Private Benjamin." The best thing about it was that I really found that I was capable of pushing myself to overcome and adapt. I also learned one of the hardest languages at DLI (Chinese-Mandarin)and was fortunate enough to be stationed in such a beautiful place like Monterey, California. I also met quite an array of people from different backgrounds and learned a lot from them. I believe it was a life changing experience for me and I would do it again if I could.
