Kavitha's Story
Hi everyone,
I'm a Navy brat who's lived in Des Moines, Iowa; Brunswick, ME; Pensacola, FL (Myrtle Grove Elementary); & in several places in Southern California (Gahr High). I've attended the schools listed here & I have friends from all of them. If you're one of them, do drop me a line. (drkow99atyahoo)
I went to Richard Gahr High School in California, where I ran on the Cross Country team. I also started & headed the Amnesty International group there.
I take great pride in my Indian heritage so I took a couple high school years off to study & explore my roots in India where I learned 2 types of indian classical dance as well as a classical indian instrument (the veena). I also learned to speak, read & write 3 different ...Expand for more
indian languages while there.
Afterward, I attended college & medical school to pursue my lifelong passion, during which time, I volunteered with the Sisters of Charity as well as some other organizations. While in Med School I raised 2 beautiful, loving children (previous marriage). I've done Family Medicine & Pediatrics training in Pennsylvania & Pensacola, FL.
I met my husband, Bob (Bobby Hardy, an Escambia grad) in 2004, we got married in March 2007 & had a beautiful son on December of '07. During this time, I'd put my career on hold and I'm planning on returning to my career this year.
