Kay's Story

Let me start out by saying life is good and I am very blessed to have a wonderful husband, Bill and great kids, LloydDean, Arlene, Dawn and Michael. (ages 42, 47, 43 & 44)
I lost my Mom, Hazel, on May 27, 2011 she was 93 years young. Has been 7 years already, times passes by so quickly.
We have four grandson's Christopher 20 and Dylan 15, Evan 9, Ryan 12 and two precious Granddaughters Alyson11 yrs old, Violet 12.
I have lived in Beaumont, CA for the past 30 + years and how it has changed in those passing years. Love it up here.
We have 2 cats, Yoda and Roush and 1 pup, Boots Heidi Hamlin :)
My Boots passed away June 6, 2018
She was 7 years old, loved so very much.
We have a 32 foot Springdale travel trailer, haven't got to go out much this past year, but hope to change that later on. Have the trailer at fishing hole and guys go often fishing, nice get away.
We all just take one day at a time and count each day as a blessing.
School
School, went to Eastvale, then Norco Jr. High.
For one year had to go to Corona High while Norco was being built.
Then we were the first Jr's and Seniors to go to the new High School.
That was pretty cool. Graduating Class of 1969, great year!
I enjoyed Mr. Door, my typing teacher, took 4 years. Always enjoyed typing and still do.
Biggest crush, was Robert Edmondson, he never knew and that was ok. Was a very nice and not a show off like must of the guys.
My first love was not anyone from Norco, was Rub. High, in fact to this day we are still friends and keep in contact.
He was married about 3 times and has 7 children.
Always had good times in school and can remember Debbie DeBos inviting me to her Birthday party and I won the Limbo contest. That was fun.
When we had our 35th Class reunion, Sassy and I were crowed King and Queen. Talk about a shock, it was great! I have never missed a dance, prom or class reunion and won't as long as I'm feeling good. Our class 1969 will be celebrating our 50th class reunion on May 25, 2019...Norco Cougars👍

On October 18, 2014 we held our 45th Class Reunion at Mill Creek Cattle Co. Was a great sucess and all had a blast, great food & fun live band too.
Well now in next 5 years will be planning our "50th" Class Reunion in 2019... Cheezzz
School was good and I will never forget all my friends and the experiences that went along with it.
Workplace:
I was blessed to be able to retire this past March 20th, 2009 on my Birthday.
Put in 25 years. I'm home caring for my Wonderful Mom, Hazel which turned 93 yrs young July 26th, 2009.
I worked for Riverside County (CDF/CALFIRE) Health & Safety at Clark Training Center.
I took care of all the Volunteers and Paid Firefighters that need Fit Testing. It's a never ending process, but that's job security :0)
I loved my job and the people I worked with, that made the days pass by quickly. I have the best boss / supervisor anyone could ever have, just super.
When I started out with the County, I was with Building and Safety for "5" years, then lateral transferred to Fire Prevention "15" years.
Was with Health & Safety "5" yrs.
News flash...In June 25, 2009 my hubby Bill retired from City of Moreno Valley as a Building Inspector.
We seem to be more busy than ever before. But retirement is just fine. I went out with 25 years with the County of Riverside. Bill went out with 26 years with the City.
They say it takes a man little longer to adjust to retirement than us ladies. I do believe that is true. But we are just fine and enjoy life one day at a time.
Been 5 years now since retirement and all is Fantastic...Bill settled in took about year :)
In November also my Son, Lloyd Dean & Jennifer will be getting married. We will have two more Grand children, Dylan 12 & Violet 7. Our youngest Grandson, Evan will have 4 new half brother & sisters...Ryan 15 & Morgan 9 one lucky little guy!
On November 20, 2014 Bill and I will Celebrate our wedding Anniversary..."20" whole yrs together... I am very Blessed indeed. All in all life is wonderful and God has Blessed us in many ways...Amen.
