Kay's Story
I graduated in 1968, went to Weatherford College where I met my husband. We married in January of 1970, and were married for almost 31 years. During that time he went back into the Navy for 9 years. We spent time in Washington State and Corpus Christi, Tx.
When he got out we had a convenience store at Dennis, Tx. When it closed he worked in Weatherford and I went to work in Ft. Worth.
We had 2 children. Amy is married with 2 sons. Eric is still single
I went back to school in 1989 for electronics. Worked in Ft. Worth after graduation, and then in Mineral Wells.
David passed away in Oct., 2000. I moved into W...Expand for more
eatherford and quit work. Went back to school at Weatherford College with an associates degree in AutoCAD.
9-11 happened after l started school so there weren't many jobs. Finally went to work in 2005 at Jamak in Weatherford and am still there.
While l was in school l met Happy Carver who decided l was spending too much time in front of the computer. She started dragging me out to garden meetings with her. She gave me irises to plant so now l'm a member of the Ft. Worth Iris Society, work, play with my dogs, see my kids and grandsons when l can.
And still spend too much time on the computer, or reading books.
