Kay Purin:  

Life Writing a bio about 35 years of life since high school is quite difficult-needless to say! But, the most important parts are as follows: I met my husband when I was 19 and we have been happily married for 31 years. My husband's name is Tom Purin and he is a Commercial Photographer. We are blessed to have a beautiful 17 year old daughter who is a talented Visual Arts Major at the Dreyfoos School of the Arts. As for me-even though our music teacher at Forest Hill told me I wasn't a good enough singer to be in the small female ensemble group at school, I became an Opera Singer at the age of 20 and sang with the Palm Beach Opera for 25 years. During that time I also sang in several musical productions at Burt Reynolds Dinner Theatre and with other playhouses including the Cuillo Centre for the Arts where I did "Phantom of the Opera" two seasons ago. I took a short hiatus from the opera and just this year went back. I had started rehearsing for two operas for the season when I was asked to audition for "Menopause the Musical", an Off-Broadway show that is being performed at the Cuillo. ...Expand for more
