Kay's Story
I graduated from U of M in Business Education. It took me longer than the average bear since I started in Business, switched to Child Development, Nursing (almost finished that), then "why don't we learn about art and music" (did spend a month in Europe, though), and finally after saying, "What do I need to do to get the heck out of here," looked at everything, put it all together and came up with Business Education. The wallflower bloomed in college serving as Secretary to Pi Beta Phi sorority (ran for President, but gee, I think they must have thought I wasn't stable enough. Duh! Voted Best Active member, Sweetheart to two fraternities, President of both the little sisters clubs, Young Republicans, Homecoming Court. (And remained a virgin until marriage!) ink my right leg can still get in it. We have two boys (Matt 28, Michael 26)and girlie girl (Michelle 17). And, yes, I notice the gap! No one is married yet although one looks promising, and no grandchildren that we are aware of. We've been members of First Evangelical Church for 27 years where we've been active in about everything there is. I worked there for a time, and Johnny is now working there on his second pension after 25 years with the City of Memphis. I've worked for 35 years at various nonprofits - the longest stint was 20 years at Evangelical Christian School. I'm currently at Lausanne Collegiate School. Besides God, family and friends, these are my main addictions: reading, sodoku, crossword puzzles, our recorded tv shows, old black and white movies, knitting, decorating, arranging plants/flowers, entertaining and cooking.
