Kay's Story

Kay is from Shreveport, Louisiana and a 1965 graduate of Byrd High School. She later attended the University of Arkansas, where she majored in art, and graduated in 1969. Kay moved to Denver in 1971, fell in love with Colorado, and calls it home. She likes the Preservation Hall Jazz Band and Big Bad Voodoo Daddy. Favorite books include...Expand for more
The Widow of the South by Robert Hicks, Pompeii by Robert Harris, and any Jeff Shaara book about the Civil War. TV shows Kay likes include AMC Hell on Wheels, The Big Bang Theory, PBS, Black List, and Longmire. One of Kay's favorite quotes is:"Live simply so that others may simply live.". Another is: "Life is short; eat dessert first."
