Kaye's Story
Life
Hello from the "High Country". After a lifetime in Miami I gave up the heat and the hustle for a more laidback lifestyle in the mountains of North Carolina. We retired in 2003 and moved up to Jonas Ridge, a small dot on the map not too far from the ski resorts at Beech and Sugar Mountains.
Still busy with family and community, grandkids (5) and hobbies. Retirement doesn't mean we're sittin' all day in rockin' chairs BUT we do have a couple of real comfortable ones on the porch. Life's GOOD!

at the UM 'Canes are now part of the ACC. It makes it easier for us to see some of their football games live each season.
As for the other kind of hurricanes, we don't miss them a bit! We've learned that we do get some high winds and huge rains when remnants of these storms head this way, but nothing compared to what you all get back home.
So, guys, if any of you are headed up this way; every season is spectacular; drop me an e-mail or give me a call. I'd love to renew old friendships.
