Kaye's Story
Life
After graduating from Auburn University with a degree in journalism, I worked for five years as a newspaper reporter for The Birmingham News and then for The Commercial Appeal in Memphis. I left the newspaper business for a corporate communications position with International Paper in Memphis for six years and earned my Master's Degree in journalism from The University of Memphis. or of internal marketing for Motorola in the Chicago area. I left Motorola in 2003 to start my own business, VZ Communications. My husband, Butch, graduated from Weaver High School, and we've been married for 15 years (although we've been together since March 1981). Butch works in video production, and he is a musician (bass player and vocalist). We have two dogs, Wagner and Thor -- both are Siberian Husky/Norwegian Elkhound mixes. Our cat of 19 years, Slim, died in July 2008.
