Kayla's Story
Life
I was married for 16½ years. My best friend/husband passed away in Sept. 2003 from surgical complications. Both my husband & I, are/were into computers and education in some way. He taught computer technology & accounting at West Seattle HS. For now, its the kids & I, keeping each other going & trying to remember all the good times without crying too much.
I have 2 kids...a son, Gary, who is 19, and earned his Eagle scout rank this past year. He is also active competing for Special Olympics. He is a senior at Ingraham this...Expand for more
year. My daughter, Sarah, is 18 and enjoys playing the clarinet (like her mom). She is going to be a senior at Ingraham. Her plans include cosmetology school at Seattle Central through runnming start.
Since graduating, I went to CWU in Ellensberg and NSCC. I'm teaching at Seattle Central Community College in the Information Technology field. Most of my classes focus around Linux, network security and computer applications.
Hope to return to school on a part time basis soon to complete a special education teacher's certificate.
