Keely's Story
Life
I am married with three kids-Zachary was born in 1994 and Savannah was born in 1999 and Gabriella was born in 2002. We live in Elk Grove, California, a city south of Sacramento and just love it. I just started the classes to clear my Special Education Credential as well as taking classes to gain a certificate in Early Childhood Special Education, which will take me a year to finish both a credential and certificate. I work at Elitha DonnerElementary school in the Elk Grove Unified School District as a Pre-K Self Contained Classroom teacher for students with moderate to severe disablities. Donner is closer to home and it makes it easier to get home after the kids are out of school. I love my job and I am very happey to have my own classroom. nteer to form a league within the Elk Grove Youth Soccer League called TOPSoccer, a soccer league designed for children with disabilities. We are very involved in the Elk Grove Youth Soccer League. My husband is coaching three teams this year. My husband, David, is a news producer at the NBC station in Sacramento. We also have a cat named Smokey. We enjoy traveling around California and traveling back to the Mid-West to see family and friends. My oldest just started middle school at Tody Johnson Middle School, which is on traditional schedule. While my younger two children go to Stone Lake Elementary school and are on year round schedule. This makes it more difficult to go on family vacations. Next school year, 2008-2009, we will have more time to travel, because the kids and I will not start school until the middle of August.
