Keith's Story
School
Although I didn't really blossom in the social sense, until college, I don't really remember myself as being a 'dork'. I was the kinda big, very quiet kid, who always had his nose in some book. The marked lack of friends wasn't because I wasn't cool enough, or that I was picked on for being different; It was because I didn't 'need' anyone else to be content.
So, since Highschool graduation, I took a trip to Germany and visited my older sister who was in the AirForce. I shattered my kneecap in a motorcycle accident (and subsequently have GREAT empathy for anyone with knee problems :grins:) I've worked a bunch of different places, and even attended a couple years of college.
I graduated college with honors, and a MUCH better understanding of social behaviors. :chuckles: The biggest learning experience was having someone having a crush on ME for the first time ever. It certianly helped me understand why the 'girls' I was always so fixated with were uncomfortable around me.

since graduation. In fact, at the Reunion (which more of you SHOULD have attended) most people hardly recognized me. No longer the kind of gwaky kid, I 'grew up' into a slightly larger version of my dad. And more importantly, I've developed a less frantic pace of life. :chuckles: Not that I was ever very 'high-strung'.
I'm driving a Semi truck now, and loving it (for the most part). Still single, still no kids. Partly out of choice (not willing to compromise to find 'true love') and partly out of inability to stay in one place for very long. Seems that most women want a 'stable' existance. :shrugs: Go figure!
I try to work on my artwork and writing projects whenever I get the chance. I found, late in highschool, that I have quite a talent for both... and never enough time to really indulge. Ah well, you can't have everything in life, right?
Well, I hope to hear from some of you people out there; Those I remember, and those who remember me. Best wishes on your life, your loves, and your families.
Sincerely, Keith Arnold
