Life
Two adorable granddaughters. Well, programming is out. After 2001, the market tanked and so did my chances in IT. I was self-taught and couldn't compete effectively in the marketplace. I didn't have the heart to return to food manufacturing management which I had done for about 25 years. I'd gotten totally burned out in that.
In 2002 I had the opportunity to move to wherever I wanted and chose Maine. Have always been in love with the sea and the rugged coast of Maine was the spot that I chose. Bought a sailboat and lived on it for two years (yes, even in winter!). Don't live on it anymore but still have it.

ridge with these little'uns and establish a trusting relationship (which is absolutely key to getting through the "wall"). Can't begin to tell you what an incredible challenge and thrill it all is.
Have been working on a book for the past couple of years (well actually I started about two years ago but have not worked on it for about 18 months; life kept on getting in the way). Now that things have begun to stabilize (career, financial, residence and relationships (none; right about now, that suits me just fine)), I plan on resuming the project. Naturally, I hope it gets published (why would I write it if I didn't really hope it was publishable) but at the moment, just finishing it seems barely attainable.
