Keith's Story
I live in Statesville, NC now, have lived here since June of 1995. It's ok but not me dream place to live. Believe it or not I miss the snow to go and mess around and ski in. Ya there are ski areas in NC but they are really not all that impressive, plus they're about 2 hours drive, not like running up to Greek after work to ski.
Anyway I moved here to get back into building houses, and since I was getting laid off as the Third Key Carrier at Service Merchandise in JC, I decided to pack up ...Expand for more
move south. The economy was dying up there! The toughest part was moving so far from my 2 girls, who live in Long Island (Port Jefferson). Had my own masonry business down here and did pretty well for awhile. Alot of Mexican company came in and started underbidding on jobs, plus trying to find good people that actually want to work (especially in the heat down here) kinda made me close up shop. Now I'm the warehouse manager at the Super Target in Mooresville, NC. and have been there since 2003.
