Life

logy at an elementary school in the area. I graduated with my doctorate in history from the University of North Texas at Denton in December 2006. My specialty is naval history, but I have also done work in English Reformation history (specifically the Henrician period) and Mississippi history of the 1930s. My dissertation analyzed the use of naval gunfire in support of amphibious operations in the Central Pacific campaign of WWII. I am currently employed as a visiting lecturer at the University of North Texas teaching American and World History survey courses as well as a Junior/Senior level course I developed on the history of the U.S. Navy. I play saxophone, when I can, in a church orchestra and also teach an adult Sunday School class.
