Keith's Story

Did my BSC at U of T, graduated in 73. Worked for General Motors for 10 years, production supervisor when I left to go back to school. Had a house in Scarborough but no family yet. Saw the first PC's coming and decided to get on board the IT train. Worked in a data centre for 3 years after that for Canadian Pacific RR, until I was convinced to switch careers again and go into the residential housing field. Moved to Ajax at that point. Built houses and did commercial/retail construction until 1994. Married and divorced while living in Ajax. Housing market died for 5 ...Expand for more
years starting in 89 so back to IT in an office setting and I was involved in managing the growth of Matcom Industrial through to Y2K. I returned to Scarborough and to school again to complete the postgrad courses in E-Commerce and also did the Network Specialist post grad certs while there. The last ten years have been IT with a focus on EDI. I have two daughters, one at York U and one just entering high school, they also have an older brother. Still like to build things, most of that goes into the cottage north of Havelock. Thinking about retiring at "Freedom 75"
