Keith's Story
O.K. I finally got my act together and officially joined the "club". So, what have I been doing for the past 40 years? Well, after grade 12 I went to UNB where I got my B.Sc.(who would have thought), then on to UBC where I received a B.Ed. in 1975(an even bigger surprise), then was recruited by the Queensland Dept. of Education(Austarlia) where I taught high school Math(Bob Hall would be proud, or stunned) and Science(Murray Burns would be shocked)for 11 years, mostly in Brisbane. It was there that I received an M.Sc. at Griffith University and met my aussie wife Leanne. In 1987 we returned to Nova Scotia where I taught in Kentville. I received an M.Ed at Acadia in 1991 and after 21 years of teaching in N.S. I finally retired in 2007. ...Expand for more
We then moved to Fredericton, where Leanne is on Faculty at UNB and I am substitute teaching(to keep me off the streets and out of trouble).
I have kept in touch with a few S.H.S. people over the years- Charles Dean, Mike Weldon and Julie Carter. I have also bumped into Bill Steeves, Chris Ward, Peter & Mike Mesheau, David Tower, Linda Hamm in recent years and many others at 2 reunions that I was able to attend.
It will be great to finally re-connect with many old classmates.
After several years of letting my Classmates membership lapse I'm finally back. Here it is 55 years after graduation so my question is....is anyone organizing a reunion?? Even a small scale lunch/dinner at a local restaurant would work if others are interested.
