Hi, We just returned from a drive to Bloomington, IL, where granddaughter Katlyn is senior, majoring in music composition, at Illinois Wesleyan. Her senior recital project? Writing and composing music for a rock opera! We attended a performance of eleven of the 22 songs in the opera, with Katlyn direct...Expand for more
ing some 20 classmates who conducted and performed on stage. Some "senior recital," that! Takes us a couple of days, now, to drive the 670 miles from home in Oklahoma City to Bloomington; don't drive those long stretches as well any more. Next time we'll consider flying up in a Piper (yes, I still fly).
