High School
Attended Nightcliff High School (Darwin), Kent St High School (Perth) and Applecross High School (Perth) before leaving Australia for Indonesia and Joint Embassey School (JES, Jakarta). Finished high school at Salisbury Composite High School in Edmonton Alberta, Canada.
College

cience at the Florida Institute of Technology (Melbourne, Florida USA) in 1982 and a MSC in Oceanography (Chemical) in 1984 (Also at FIT). Completed a PhD in sea turtle biolgy at Murdoch University, Perth Western Australia in 2005.
Work
Returned to Australia in 1984 to work as an environmental scientist. I Have been running my own environmental consultancy since 1997 and now focus exclusively on sea turtle biology and interactions with the oil and gas industry in Australia and the monitoring and management of light pollution.
