Kellie's Story

Workplace Kellie Hajjar Press Kit Bio Kellie’s solo singing career began with a two-night benefit concert for the Fenway Community Health Center at Club Cabaret in Boston, Massachusetts in January 1994. The first night was an instant sell-out and was held over one night. All proceeds from the concerts went to Fenway Community Health Center for free care so that uninsured and under-insured people could gain access to quality healthcare. While access to healthcare has always been a cause that Kellie has worked for, the fight against breast cancer has since become one of her greatest passions. Now, once again, she has combined this passion with that of her greatest love: music. The result of this merger is the song “How Many Women” which Kellie will utilize as a tool for raising money for breast cancer care and research. In June 2002, Kellie did a benefit concert in Ohio for the high school from which she graduated. She also donated the title song of her first CD, “My Shirt Dripping Blue,” to Tecumseh High School for an alumni compilation CD in order to raise money for college tuition for qualified students. The following year Kellie joined Angel Wings Productions—a group of singers who perform at dinner shows in order to raise money for var...Expand for more
ious causes: women’s shelters, cancer care and research, toys for tots, animal shelters, etc. In 2003 she jumped onto the nursing home circuit delighting residents all over southeastern Massachusetts. With her smooth, effortless style she quickly earned the nickname “Perry Como.” She is often compared to Patsy Cline, Julie London and k.d. lang as well. Kellie’s latest achievement is the completion of her second full-length CD, “Kellie Hajjar Is Swingin,’” produced and arranged by Kellie Hajjar and Doug Hammer. With 17 tracks this CD includes her latest original, “Maybe Tonight,” along with such gems as “Crazy,” “Moonlight Serenade” and “Don’t It Make My Brown Eyes Blue.” She amazes the listener with her own unique style while remaining true to the original artists. Kellie’s voice has been described as that of, “silk flowing but with the richness of velvet.” This combined with outstanding writing skills, modest comedic interludes and an endearing connection with her audience all lead to the promise of a great show. When Kellie Hajjar takes the stage, all of the seats are good! In the words of Bill Hobin, president of Angel Wings Productions, “Kellie Hajjar is a name you will always remember with a voice you will never forget.”
